Patients should follow physician instructions for self-catheterization, which may include:

• Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water.

• Position self for catheterization.

• Cleanse urethral opening.

• Insert the catheter into the urethra with the angled tip facing upward. If the catheter has a guide strip or nub, ensure the markings remain facing upward throughout the catheterization process.

• Gently insert the catheter until urine begins to flow.

• When urine stops, slowly withdraw catheter.

• Dispose of catheter. Product is designed for single use only.

• Contact your physician or clinician if:

o You have difficulty inserting or removing the catheter.

o You regularly see blood during and after catheterization.

o You experience high temperature, pain in your lower back, urine that is cloudy or gives off a strong odor, or nausea.
