The design

Full suspension, 55-mile range.

The Silverado Extreme is Merits' full-suspension, long-range scooter. Shock absorbers at every corner and 14 in front and 16 in rear pneumatic tires deliver a smooth ride, and 5.1 in of ground clearance helps on rough terrain. It is rated for up to 450 lb.

A 650W motor drives it up to 9.5 mph, and a 100Ah battery gives up to 55 miles per charge. Intelligent regenerative electromagnetic brakes slow the scooter, and speed automatically drops to half when turning. LED headlights and taillights, a digital LCD dashboard with speed and odometer, and storage beneath the tiller come standard.
