The design

Comes apart for the trunk, no tools needed.

The Z-4 is a compact travel scooter that comes apart without tools. The seat, basket, battery pack, and frame separate into six pieces, the heaviest about 30 lb, for loading into a car, then reassemble the same way. It supports riders up to 330 lb.

Steering is through a tiller with a key switch, horn, light, battery gauge, and a speed dial, with a top speed of 3.7 mph. A finger-operated throttle drives forward and reverse, and an electromagnetic brake engages when you let go. The tiller angle, seat height, and armrest width all adjust, and the seat swivels to make getting on and off easier.

The removable battery pack has a carry handle and charges on or off the scooter. The 12Ah battery gives up to 13 miles and is airline and cruise approved. The 30Ah battery extends range to up to 30 miles but is not approved for air travel. Actual range depends on rider weight, terrain, and speed.
